Search Engine Optimization: website sees 100% traffic increase with brand keywords SEO exposure

SUMMARY: The website was not fully optimized when it launched. Keywords used were not competitive losing its customers because the website is not visible to search engine results.

In this SEO case study, we discovered that the website (including sub pages) were not using the right keywords. Traffic and Search Engine visibility is a challenge. We recommended to use the brand keywords for exposure. Our team also learned that the Google Analytics were removed by the previous vendor. Losing the historical traffic and data, we re-install the Google Analytics code and started to monitor the traffic and bounce rate. website promotes organic health and wellness by purchasing the products endorsed in the website. The challenge was to make the brand name HYC150 to become more visible in Search Engine using the brand products keywords like HYC150, Pearl Coix extract and etiquette rose. We mixed some of the wellness terms to incorporate in the pages of the website. Also, we noticed that the keywords were not properly assigned according to page relevance. The keywords that were previously used were irrelevant and too generic. Losing the number of potential customers and sales.

ANALYSIS: In order to increase relevant traffic and sales, we need to re-optimize the website using relevant keywords to each pages.

The process began by conducting an initial site audit and analysis. We also listed down potential keywords that we can use to optimize the pages and images. Next, we created a new Google Analytics code since the previous access was removed. After few days, we continue to investigate what else need to be done on the website. Like fixing the page titles, description and analyzing the content. We also focused on inspecting the images and videos make sure each are labeled correctly.

After a month of re-optimization, we saw an increase of traffic and relevant keywords started to rank from cannot be found to page 10 in Search Results.

We also suggested to update the blog regularly to learn more about the products and continue to engage in social media.

The results after few months of re-optimization by our team:

  • Top brand keywords are in top 10 Search Engine Ranking position: HYC150, etiquette rose, Pearl Coix Extract.

This project is still ongoing. We are still monitor some of the long tail and broad keywords that we added. Our next proposal is to implement a good shopping cart to track conversions and to provide an excellent e-commerce transaction.
